Bolehland is like a basket case today largely because of one man, no?- the grand old man of Bolehland politics, Mahathir Mohamad.
It had taken 60 + long donkey years for long suffering Bolehlanders to finally wake up from their slumber to realise that dUMNo & Co had become a kelptocracy as the Doj called it and toxic for the good of the country and to vote them out for the first time in Bolehland history in GE 14.
A kleptocracy, some say, enabled largely also because of the less than sterling legacy Mahathir had left behind following his first 22 years long tenure as the 4th Pm of the country.
It took only about 2 years for Mahathir to render the people's plaintive and desperate cry for change and much needed reforms nugatory for his failure to fulfill the election pledges for reforms.
And the man's ambivalence to honour the agreement to pass the baton to Anwar.
And his failure to clamp down on racial and religious politics and politicking.
It all started from Mahathir's grand standing at the UN to ratify ICERD and his turning tail at the first sign of the opposition taking issue.
Followed soon after with Mahathir again turning tail on ratifying the Rome Statute.
All this just emboldened the opposition to see Mahathir as weak and his government as unable to fulfill what it undertook to do.
One thing led to another and soon things have become history as they say.
Today, the Bolehland government is not the government of the people's choice.
Moo's government is a backdoor government culled from Mahathir's failure as a leader, certain parties' treachery and naked betrayal of the people's mandate.
A government that is essentially a mockery of the people's rejection of the toxic dUMNo & Co kleptocracy because they are now back and part and parcel of the government in power.
A government concerned and right thinking Bolehlanders now wait to vote out come GE 15.
This time, without Mahathir in the picture, no?
