At this point of writing, it is not clear whether a new back door government consisting also of the opposition parties the people had rejected in GE14 will come about or whether the king might call for a general election.
But what has been happening surely looks like a naked, despicable attempt to steal the people's mandate.
This just goes to show that politicians everywhere are two-faced creatures. They will promise you heaven and hell and when they get your votes, they all behave like rodents, scurrying for the choicest piece of cheese for themselves and to hell with everybody else.
Mahathir as the interim Pm by the grace of his partners in the Pakatan Harapan coalition has failed the people by refusing to set a date for passing the baton to Anwar.
Instead, there had been so much equivocation and ambivalence on Mahathir's part over the issue of passing the baton to Anwar, that it had lead to alot of politicking that has led to today.
And if Mahathir was against working with Pas and dUMNo in the first place, he should have had, at the outset, made that abundantly clear to anyone attempting a coup and that would have had put an end to it.
It is sad that the man had failed to do that, remaining coy all along.
Make not mistake. The people are watching. They don't easily forget, even though Mahathir often says that Melayu mudah lupa.
Those who will attempt to steal the people's mandate will be roundly rejected when they come around again asking for your votes.

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
