Is Mahathir a selfish man?
No one has put it better than former Law minister Zaid Ibrahim
I think many Bolehlnanders think the same of Mahathir as Zaid thinks of the man. And I most certainly do feel the same.
Mahathir has apologised to the nation for the imbroglio and says that he is not power crazy.
But which politician would admit that he is crazy for power, anyway?
And who was responsible for the imbroglio in the first place?
The now 'interim' Pm could have had put a stop to it if he had at the outset said that he was positively against any attempts at forming a backdoor government that would, in effect, betray the people's mandate.
I do also agree with Zaid Ibrahim that once Mahathir had tendered his resignation to the King, he should have had only agreed to become a care-taker Pm.
And what is so special about Mahathir that he thinks he himself is the only one qualified to lead the country?
In fact, more and more Bolehlanders now see Mahathir as a hindrance to the promised and much needed reforms that would bring the country forward, and one of the reasons why the economy is not only stalling but is going steadily south.
If Mahathir cannot even honour a simple agreement to pass the baton to Anwar by setting a date for it to happen, instead of all the equivocation and ambivalence, how could anyone trust the man to keep to any agreement?
If Mahathir claims that he is not power crazy, the more so he should have had put an end to all the speculation as to when, or if ever, he would do the honourable thing.
And now Mahathir is talking of leading a 'unity' government that effectively says more than anything else?

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
