I have said before that Mahathir should pass the baton to Anwar sooner than later.
But I am not sure if Anwar would be any better than the grand old man has been for Bolehland as Pm.
Bolehland needs someone who does not only have the conviction but also the guts to steer the country away from the old politics of race and religion.
Someone who would not again tolerate anyone wasting time and resources resorting to the old politics that have so hampered the country from moving forward and who is a unifying force instead of a divisive one.
Someone who has the vision and the ideas on how to move the country forward economically and bring prosperity to all instead of leaving everyone else needing band aids like the discredited BR1M or the new version of it.
Someone whom everyone could look up to and trust to do his or her job well for the interests of all, irrespective of race or religion.
There, unfortunately, does not seem to be anyone who fits the bill in the current crop of politicians, not the ones in PH and certainly not those in the opposition.
Perhaps Bolehland would do better to look for someone outside of politics, one not burdened with ideologies, interests and agendas and what have you.
Perhaps someone like feisty and progressive lawyer Siti Kasim. One who seems able to take the race and religion bull by its horns and ride it to boot.
Bolehland deserves better than the sorry sixty so years of small minded, self serving politicians who talk of selfless service to the nation but who serve themselves first and last.

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
