Every year, Indonesia exports choking pollution to its neighbours and blames Bolehland for the perfidy.
At the root of the trouble is greed, the almighty dollar and corruption.
Large scale agriculture slash and burn practices lead to choking haze that blankets the skies for weeks and months and cause serious health problems.
Nobody cares, because it is cheap compared to using machines and excavators to clear land for planting, including for growing oil palms, etc.
There is no will to put a stop to the pernicious activities.
The Indonesian government makes the usual token threats to punish the culprits but nobody takes the threats seriously knowing that nothing will come of them.
It is the perennial merry-go-round, you blame me I blame you. And you see again next year, buddy!
Cheerio!
While people choke and cough. And die slowly but surely.
For greed, the almighty dollar and corruption ain't going away anytime soon. That is the sum total of human nature at its core.
Blame the almighty, if you will.
Hehehe
