Bolehlanders were hoping for some inspiring cabinet appointments.
But what was offered does not really make Bolehlanders jump for joy.
There are some surprising appointments. Notably, Maszlee Malik for the education portfolio. He is little known outside of some circles, certainly largely unknown to the general public.
With heavy Islamic credentials and largely untested, it will be hard to see how he can inspire confidence across board as an education minister.
Though there was a lot of opposition to Mahathir also assuming the education portfolio, many Bolehlanders would have been happy for Mahathir to be the education minister.
At least they know who Mahathir is. He is not one who is afraid to do the unpopular things or to pander to populist sentiments.
And why appoint Azmin to the economic affairs portfolio when he is already the Selangor menteri besar? But to be fair, Azmin has himself said that he can"t be a federal minister and be the MB of Selangor at the same time.
And who is Rina Harun? Again a newbie and unknown to the public.
There are other more talented young people who are known to the public who have shown that they know what they are talking and can be trusted to do their jobs.
Bolehland has Tony Pua, Rafizi, Hannah Yeoh, Nurul, Liew Ching Tiong & Co. These would make better choices.
Bolehlanders have no problem with Mat Sabu as the defence minsiter, Muhyuddin as the home minister, Lim Guan Eng as the finance minister and Anthony Loke as the transport minister.
Not too sure or excited about the others though.

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
