The Kuala Kangsar and Sungei Besar by-election results confirm that corruption issues do not seem to worry the largest electoral group of voters.
The only positive thing to have emerged from the by-elections is that Pas's as well as Hadi's political future is as good as buried, except maybe in Kelantan. But even in Kelantan, Pas's and Hadi's fate cannot be assured.
Sabah and Sarawak will remain as BN's fixed deposit states and basket cases, unfortunately (for one reason or another), as the recent Sarawak state election results show.
It is sad that it might have to take the nation to become bankrupt and all the economic hardships that that connotes for the people to wake up from their slumber.
That however, might not be too distant a prospect as the country's sovereign debt continues to soar from mismanagement and imprudent economic and fiscal measures and the continuing plunder of the nations' wealth explained away as 'donations' of one kind or another.
