Time PMX'S so-called Madani Unity government implemented a modified form of universal basic income.
Not the the paltry STR of RM 150 for senior citizens four times a year, for example.
And the SARA RM 50 each month credited to one's IC for purchase of limited products.
What is really a waste is the one-off annual RM 100 credited to one's IC for, again, the purchase of limited products that every citizen, above 18 years old receives; rich or poor, millionaires or billionaires!
What PMX should do if he wants to help is implement a modified basic universal income for the qualified, the B40 group and senior citizens, for example, of RM 500 per month. This will at least be a meaningful help.
We can afford it if wastages in government spending are cut or reduced to the minimum, corruption eliminated and money lost through corruption recovered.
