I felt the same when the Sultan gave the three reasons.

I must say it's got more to do with religion. Eating pork is considered not halal though d Koran does allow consumption of pork in emergencies.

There r Koranic verses to that effect e.g in Surah Al-Baqarah 2:173 that reads :

  "He has only forbidden to eat dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced by [necessity], neither desiring [it], not transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed Allah is Forgiving and Merciful"

Similar verses in Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:3) and Surah Al-An'am (6:145) and Surah Al-Nahl (16:115)

So, I think it's got not much to do with smell n other factors alluded to, to discourage or to not allow pig farming in certain neighborhoods.. It's got more to do with religion n religious sensitivities.

But the guy in d tiktok video has a point or two.

The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family.
