Wrong! A country can be the world's strongest without also being the world's global currency. Being the world's global currency carries risks. Almost synonymous with perennial deficits. There is a self-life to it. When the time dawns, it's pochee! Indian word for finished! The question is whether China aspires to be the hegemon. China is smarter, it knows what is good for itself and the world. 

Remember, for a couple of millenniums, the Middle Kingdom was the taiko (big boss of the world) when there weren't any Americans to speak of. Or maybe there were, living in the caves or on treetops elsewhere. And I don't mean the Red Indian natives of what is now known as North America where a pea-brained white house duck quacks "Chyna, Chyna, Chyna" whenever it's about to lay tariff eggs! Quack, quack, quack!!!

The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family.
