First off, I must say that Tengku Maimun was one of d few outstanding Chief Justices we had. One who has brought back a large measure of respect to d Malaysian judiciary.

Instead d appointment of Chief Judge Tan Sri Hasnah Mohammed as d acting Chief Justice who herself would be retiring in less than 6 months n d appointment of justice Zabariah as d acting Chief Judge of  the Court of Appeal who herself would be retiring soon too does seem like what the heck is happening?

It would be making more sense to extend d tenure of Temgku Miamun as the Chief Justice herself!
