Suffice to say, there are lies aplenty, myths created to mine for Big Bucks!

Om Ni

The classic lie that has been sold for decades, the big one, fat is bad for you!

Om Ni

Cholesterol is the devil 👹 that causes heart attacks 💔 for example

Om Ni

Actually, sugar and carbs are the more concerning culprits

Om Ni

Salt, another myth?

Om Ni

Well, well, well...looks like it!

Om Ni

The Germans have a saying 'It's the dosage, dear!'

Om Ni

Dosage is the poison

Om Ni

Saying sugar and carbs are not good, does not mean one completely avoids them like poison

Om Ni

One still needs sugar and carbs

Om Ni

The brain cannot burn fat efficiently for the energy it needs to function

Om Ni

Unless one fasts and fasts, not altogether wise

Om Ni

Ditto, though salt does not per se cause hypertension, the wise thing to do too in this case, as with sugar and carbs, is not to go overboard on it or to avoid altogether loh!

Om Ni

The lies Big Pharma propagate in the name of profits ai ya ya!! are a crime against humanity, no meh?!

Om Ni

Like adding salt to the wound leh!

Om Ni

No wonder more  suffer than recover! thanks, but no thanks, to the peddled lies!!

Om Ni

Salt of course is very important for the body to function properly but, as in all things, moderation is still the best bet!

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
