Ai ya ya!
It was not about whether there was only a single punch or multiple punches and whether there was bleeding or serious injury or not or whether the officer knew whether the grab driver was deaf or not.
An assault is an assault.
Just because the officer was under pressure to do what he was supposed to do to ask the grab driver make way, because he was escorting a VVIP, that was no excuse to commit the offence of assault.
An assault by a police officer should be taken more seriously as he is supposed to know better.
Why had it taken so long for the officer to be charged and that too after all the publicity?
Was the 1000 ringgit fine a slap on the wrist?
Wouldn't it be better the court sent a strong message that it would not countenance assault by anyone, let alone assault by police officer, by imposing a harsher sentence?
Or was the 1000 ringgit fine meant as a deterrence against similar incidences in the future?
'Well, well, well...' as the bishop is fond of saying 'Well, well, well...who know? Who knows? Let's see, let's see'
Ai ya ya!!!
