Alamak!
Is an ulama infallible, beyond questioning and criticism?
Well, well, well...if the holy book upon which one's faith is supposedly based and it enjoins followers to not just accept anything said or postulated but to use the brain and thinking cap one is endowed with to verify the truth, shouldn't that mean something?
Seems like that makes good godly sense, no?
But what does one know?
When it comes to one's faith, people, even the otherwise intellectual ones, seem to cease thinking altogether for fear of their place in the afterlife.
Forgetting the injunction to use one's god given brain and thinking cap to check and verify for oneself the truth?
Correct me if I am wrong but Siti Kasim seems to have made a valid point citing the Koran itself on the issue.
Ai ya ya!!
