Is it wise for PMX to show support for Hamas by openly meeting with Hamas leaders?
For a small nation that prides itself as neutral nation such open support may not be wise as Hamas has been classified as a terrorist organisation by the US as this can lead to sanctions.
As it is, the US has a already sent an envoy to Malaysia to sound us out.
Following PMX's open meeting with the Hamas leaders, this could very well lead to Malaysia being sanctioned by the US.
Hope it does not happen, for any sanctions can affect our economy in one way or another at a time when we need all the help to do well economically..
When Malaysians are already having to cope with the rising cost of living.
Perhaps there are more subtle ways to show support if we want to do so?
