Democracy is the western touted system of government the world should aspire and take to, no questions asked.
Any other system is evil and should be condemned and eschewed altogether.
China is communist so it is evil and must be condemned.
But, consider
Democracy's greatest boast is this thing called "freedom" and the freedom of choice.
What it means to most people in the west, particularly in the so-called great US of A, is largely about freedom of speech and the freedom to choose your government.
You could say or criticise your government or the leaders anyhow you like without fear of consequence to yourself.
And to own firearms as an inalienable constitutional right to defend yourselves. (Most of the times, tragically, used in senseless random shootings)
Little, if at all, about freedom from want or the right to walk the streets without fear of being mugged or even killed.
Or about the government working for you instead of working for the elite and the vested interests.
