It Is Scary The Scattered-Brain Way Bolehland Is Going About It In The Fight Against The Covid-19 Pandemic, No?

A few days ago when the number of the day's infections dropped from just above 4000 to just above 3000, the Bolehland director-general of health said that he saw some light at the end of the tunnel that we could see a further drop in the numbers.

I thought that was too early to sound optimistic.

And sure enough. Just the next day following the drop to just above 3000, the day's new infections rose to mid 3000 for 2 consecutive days.

And today, the number of new infections rose to above 4000 again.

The imposition of a state of nation-wide emergency supposedly to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic does not seem to help.

Many are now saying the declaration of a state of emergency nationwide was just a device to help keep Moo's shaky backdoor government in power a little longer.

Don't want to speculate further on this.

If we are to successively combat the pandemic we have to go about it in a serious way. Not go about it in a half-hearted, scattered-brain way on the altar of economic expedience.

Allowing practically all sectors of the economy to operate this time instead of the essential ones like the first nationwide lockdown early in the year of 2020 when the number of daily infections was in the low 3-digits, does not make sense except to beg the question.

As it is, many are able to freely travel inter-district and inter-state to work by showing an employer's letter.

And what about this thing allowing full passenger capacity  in all public transport if the idea is the emphasis on social distancing to cut down on the risk of infections?

Are the Bolehland authorities now mulling opening up inter-state travel for everyone so soon when the number of daily infections is anything but still concerning?

Haven't we learned from what happened when the government allowed and encouraged inter-state travel to boost tourism Christmas last, that led to the concerning spike of infections that led to the current not-so lockdown?

Last, but not least, have we looked into the large foreign work force in a well co-ordinated and meaningful way to try to get a gripe on the situation among them that will also aid in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic?

And increased testing among the foreign work force, both the documented and undocumented ones scattered all over the country?

Post Script : Constantly Changing SOPs like these ones while the number of daily infections is still a big concern surely is self-defeating. Bolehland either keeps strictly to established SOPs for when the pandemic situation improves for the better or we are going in circles, having to impose and re-impose lockdowns. Moo's backdoor government don't seem to have any clue as to what they are doing.

Kluang was a sleepy hollow, but is fast becoming a bustling town. You can't miss the bust-shaped gunung Lambak lording over the place and the town is well known for its tv brand coffee powder

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
