Mahathir has rued the use of gutter politics to bring down one's enemy. However, he is the one often perceived by Bolehlanders to have started the thingy when he had Anwar first arrested and charged for sodomy.
Anwar's trial turned out to be farcical, with a mattress supposedly stained with evidence of the offence brought in and out of court. In the end, even the supposed 'victim' testified under cross-examination that Anwar did not sodomise him which the court had it expunged hehehe....
The embarrassment to the prosecution was so great that after numerous changes to the dates alleged sodomy supposedly took place, they amended the charge against Anwar to one of abuse of power.
Few people believed Anwar had committed the offence. They saw it as a naked attempt by Maha to put Anwar away as a growing threat to his own position. This is lent credence to by what the government doctor who had examined the 'victim' had said, that there were no indications of penetration elek elek elek hehehe....
But the template for the use of gutter politics to bring down one's enemy had been set, so to speak, and Maha's own successor Ah Jib duly resorted to it to put Anwar away when he saw the threat Anwar posed to his own position by cooking up a similarly suspicious sodomy charge against Anwar.
And as in Sodomy 1 case, the doctor who first examined the alleged victim had found no signs or indications of penetration, not even a scratch or tiny tear elek elek elek hehehe again.....The poor Burmese doctor later became so fearful he left Bolehland for his own sake hahaha....
In both Sodomy 1 and 2, the examining doctors, it must be noted, were not Anwar's men!
So now, in the case of Azmin, is it all deja vu?
This time, however, it is Maha's blue-eyed boy who is being accused and Maha is saying it is all gutter politics at play with no truth to it.
They say karma can be a bitch. Don't know. Others say what goes around comes around. Don't care!
Azmin has denied the accusation and has threatened to sue. Good for him.
But the allegations and counter allegations have come thick and fast, leaving everyone gasping for breath and wondering who is telling the truth and who is not.
The most troubling for Azmin are the specific occasions and specific places his accuser has said the alleged gay acts took place.
Bolehlanders are really fed up with all the salacious stuff served up for public consumption now and again. Remember also, the Chua Soi Lek episode?
So, did Azmin or did Azmin not?
The authorities need to investigate the allegations with an even hand, not bowing to any quarters or showing favour for one against the other, so that the saga can be put to rest and the public assured one way or another of their veracity or not.

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
