Pakatan under Maha the Great One who is no long so great might as well give up its ghost.
Mahathir is no reformist.
He was a dictator in his first epiphany as the 4th Bolehland Pm as even Nurul has said he was. Perhaps not one as mad as Idi Amin or as bad as Marcos.
Now in his second coming as the 7th Pm, Mahathir seems afraid even of shadows.
Bolehland was supposed to have ratified ICERD, but at the first hint of protest from the opposition, Mahathir's Cabinet walked away with its tail between its legs. That timid capitulation has emboldened dUMNo and Pas who have since gone on a spree of race and religious baiting to garner support which seemed to have worked very well for them, winning two by-elections on a trot.
Rantau may be the next victim because voters have lost faith in Pakatan to ring in the dawn of a brave New Bolehland which, with each passing day, seems more and more like a mirage.
And now following protest from certain quarters, Mahathir's Cabinet has once again timidly turned volte-face about ratifying the Rome Statute. This is not the government that the people had voted in to do their job. Unable to articulate well, and remain firm to, their commitments.
But why is acceding to the Rome Statute in any way seen as touching on the position of the royalty and Malay rights?
A signatory to the statute only accedes to the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC) which is empowered to try only cases of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression?
Unless, of course, we are saying that committing all those things is acceptable and all right to do?
The longer Mahathir remains the Pm, the more likely it seems that dUMNo and Pas will win the next general election and take over the government because more and more people who had supported Pakatan are now fast losing faith in Mahathir and his Cabinet.
Under Mahathir, Pakatan might as well give up its ghost now!

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
