Mahathir as the Pm has to do four things before the people lose complete faith in the PH government they had voted for to usher in the dawn of a brave new Bolehland.
He has to show that the government he leads is able to govern. Not turn back at the first sign of opposition protest, with its tail between its legs, which was what it did on its plan to ratify ICERD and the Rome Statute.
Mahathir must also be firm to insist that his advice as the Pm is given effect to.
It is high time the duly elected government be allowed to carry out its work without having to second guess.
If Bolehland is a constitutional monarchy, than it is imperative that the palace acts on the advice of the Pm. Otherwise, it would be like frustrating, if not thwarting, the will of the people who have given the mandate to the government of the day they have voted into power.
To put a spanner into the works is not conducive to the smooth running of the government. It will only work to the detriment of the nation's interest.
The third thing Mahathir has to do is be firm when it comes the politicians, and others who would take advantage, exploiting race and religion to garner support to their cause.
Freedom of expression is a good and welcome thing but when it comes to exploiting race and religion, the government has to put a stop to the dangerous trend as those are very emotive issues that can lead to trouble and distort national discourse.
The fourth but not the least thing Mahathir has to do is tackle bread and butter issues.
People do not care about anything else if their lives are hard and they have to worry whether they will have enough to see through the day.
Prices of everyday goods and consumables have shot up despite the Pakatan coalition's assurance to tackle the issue. The increasing cost of living has angered the people who feel that they have been betrayed.
What the PH government shouldn't do is to worsen the people's burden by increasing water and electricity tariffs as some states are planning to do.
In fact, Mahathir's government has to seriously look into how it can stimulate the national economy and bring down the cost of living.
And cease giving excuses.

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
