Bolehlanders are looking to Anwar to provide the leadership that will show that he is the right man to take over from Mahathir.
However, Anwar is now so afraid of offending Mahathir lest he got by-passed again for the Pm post, that he dare not call a spade a spade or speak to the point unlike his own daughter who has no qualms about being upfront.
That is so disappointing of someone whom the country looks to for leadership.
What has the appointment of the Parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman got to do with the Pm? It is Parliament's prerogative whom they want to head the committee.
Neither the Speaker nor Parliament itself needs to refer to nor get the approval of the Pm whom they want to appoint as the PAC chairman.
If the Pm is the one who has the prerogative or final say on the appointment of the PAC chairman, that would make Parliament subservient to the Executive.
Parliament is, after all, the third branch of a triumvirate of equal standing in a parliamentary democracy. Subvert this and you subvert democracy itself like how Bolehland has largely been seen by others as a sham democracy than a true one.

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
