Is Mahathir A Wily Old Fox?

People once called Mahathir names like Mahafiruan, Mahazalim a dictator et al, but all this is now forgotten and forgiven post GE 14.

Now they put Mahathir on a pedestal and worship him like a god and demonise Anwar whom they once willing kissed ass.

Funny how people change their minds so quickly.

But is Mahathir in his second coming Bolehland's promised messiah?

While his current adoring hordes of worshipers surely think so, I am not so certain.

There is a saying that people don't change in a fundamental way so easily. And another one that says a leopard doesn't change its spots.

Unflattering and depressing those sayings may be, they do seem to bear out in real life more often than not.

The man who should know Mahathir better than most is his old enemy Ku Li. Ku Li is not convinced. He said Mahathir is the same man in a different shirt.

And just to confirm Ku Li, the first thing Mahathir did soon after assuming office as the 7th Bolehland Pm was to go crying to Nipponland for soft loans. In his first term as the 4th Bolehland Pm, it was also to the land of the rising sun (now seems like a setting one, hahaha) Mahathir looked to.

Remember the Look East policy? How that had benefited Bolehland is not quite so clear. If the Malaysia Incorporated thing Mahathir was so proud of and now talks about reviving, is what Look East was all about, it will all again be crony capitalism at work. Benefiting a small privilged coteri and really doing nothing to help the rest.

So, a few more millionaires will be made but only the favoured few. The rest will still need tongkat and band aid.

Mahathir is the same old self trying to needle and outfox the little dot down south. Why he needs to do that may be a revelation in itself - is the man suffering from an inferiority complex because tried as he did, he failed to outfox Lee Kuan Yew in every instance? hehehe.....

Was there a need so soon after the Pakatan victory to tell Singaporeans that they need to change their government just like how Bolehland did?

No one in his right mind would want to start another Bolehland car project. But not Mahathir, being the man with the big ego. Especially not now that Bolehland is said to be saddled with a trillion ringgit debt. Well, what do you know?

After the flak from the people, Mahathir now talks about the private sector being involved in the project. Don't know about you. In the end, it is the rakyat we might have to, once again, bail out a losing concern that just drain more billions.

And Mahathir is still talking about giving a head up to one race. Instead of helping the poor, irrespective of whom.

Sure, to his blind worshipers Mahathir can do no wrong. But at least take note of the 100 billion or so ringgit said to have been lost because of the Maminco, forex, Perwaja, Proton et al speculative big ego forays.

Mahathir is surely not Najib, but a little less worship and more level-mindedness surely won't do any harm.

Just hope he won't revive the crooked bridge to nowhere project hehehe...

Or sodomy 3 thing... hahaha...If so, Anwar will be truly screwed this time.

Is Mahathir a wily old fox?

Well, what do you think?

Me think that will need another posting that maybe you could better write hehehe....

Kluang was a sleepy hollow, but is fast becoming a bustling town. You can't miss the bust-shaped gunung Lambak lording over the place and the town is well known for its tv brand coffee powder

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
