No matter how hard or assiduously you try to spin the 1MDB scandal as an international conspiracy to topple a government with the connivance of some disgruntled Bolehlanders with their won agenda, you cannot ignore the very detailed allegations by the US Doj of how billions had been siphoned off from the sovereign fund and diverted by whom and to whom and how it had been spent buying what expensive properties, art works, diamonds ect al by whom and for whom and how some of these had been 'gifted' to whom.
Nor can you dismiss the convictions in Singapore of some people said to have assisted in the laundering of 1MDB funds unless you are blind as a mice or dedak intoxicated.
The elephant in the room just refuses to disappear and too large to dislodge.
Okay, we could pretend that we don't see it. That doesn't make it any more comfortable for us.
Either we slay it or we prove that that it is a mirage.
But we can't do that just by saying that the elephant is a mirage conjured up by disloyal Bolehlanders who want to topple you.
That kleptocracy is an American creature and that that animal exits not in Bolehland.
Or that large sums of money found in bank accounts are either an Arabian aberration or that you are ignorant of their existence and therefore not culpable for spending them.
