Selangor is often plagued with water supply disruptions for one reason/excuse or another. One favourite excuse is 'paip bocor' (burst pipes).
This is becoming an almost daily occurrence at Taman Kosas where work is being carried out to replace old pipes. But why should that be an excuse for paip bocor and on an almost daily basis?
Who is failing to do their job competently? Is the contractor responsible for laying the new pipes sleeping on his job, indifferent or just plain incompetent? Were no maps showing where the old underground pipes are located supplied to the contractor? Is no one supervising the work?
Whatever the cause for burst pipes happening on an almost daily basis, someone should take responsibility and be held accountable for the fiasco.
The daily water disruptions are unacceptable. They make lives miserable for everyone and cause losses to businesses.
