Hardly a day passes by without more and more news emerging of how some people were said to have looted billions from a sovereign fund to live the good life BIG time. It does not make for a good appetite. In fact, it makes the blood boil!
If true, one wonders how these people could expect to get away in this cyber age defies analysis. Perhaps they thought that they were smart enough to hide their tracks and hoodwink the hoi polloi with their stratagems.
A thief is a thief, no matter whether he dresses himself in a suit or wraps himself in a princely robe or holds a high public office.
People wonder how the celebrities feel feted by these wannabe sheikhs and swashbucklers.
But maybe it is just naive to expect people not to worship the almighty dough however it comes.

The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family.
