As more and more news emerges each day of how some people fund their personal life-styles with money said not to be theirs, the news that the first 1MDB related arrest had been made has come as an encouraging sign.
In Bolehland, the Ag has maintained that there were no wrongdoings relating to the 1MDB nor was the Pm in any way guilty of any wrongdoing and corruption investigators have been stopped in their tracks and told to close their investigations.
Few Bolehlanders believe in the Ag though and it is nice that while we aren't going anywhere in our own investigations, foreign countries are not going to be so easily pushed aside from doing their job.
We are not just talking of million but of multiple billion ringgit going missing from the sovereign fund.
Unlike Ag Apandi, the Swedish Ag revealed that their own investigations showed that some 4 billion US dollars (16 plus billion ringgit!) might have been diverted from 1MDB. That is not some insignificant number to snigger at.
That is a humongous sum of money to talk of!
How are we not going want to get to them bottom of the whole affair?
Aren't we interested to know the truth?
It is all really a simple matter if the powers that be are concerned.
And it is very simple - if you are guilty, you are guilty. You own up.
If you are not, you are not.
Coming up with clever tales only makes people more suspicious and disbelieving.
