I am sure everyone of us has had one or more bad experiences with tyre and car repair workshops and with even our regular service centers.
These establishments are well placed for scamming or ripping you off because many car owners know little about their cars and are easily frightened into unnecessary repairs or replacements or so-called services to keep your cars in good order.
I was once even told that one of my brand new tyres had a nail embedded. That was a shining new nail and there was no sign of any scratch or anything like it or any mark on it!
That Bangladeshi chap was trying to make a quick few bucks for himself, and for his employer. If I had recorded the whole incident of the unscrupulous fellow "embedding" the nail, I would have had lodged a police report and probably also sued the tyre shop for cheating.
You always have to be on the alert, otherwise they will come up with all kinds of tricks to make big fat bucks out of you, even going to the extent of damaging some parts or knocking them askew when you are not looking.
Why these businessmen can't earn their keep honestly is really beyond me.
