KL112: Bernama, You Were Wrong!

Malaysia's normally servile national news agency, Bernama, whose report had been picked by the other servile main stream media, including the News Straits Times, had reported that there were 3000 people outside Stadium Merdeka for the Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat (The People's Resurgence/Awakening Gathering or Rally) Saturday last.

For once, they were generously off the mark!

Actually by 1 pm, there were only three people there - Anwar, Hadi and Kiat Siang! Ha ha!

Maybe a little new era arithmetic will help. Ha ha again.

Or maybe a peek here will restore some needed perspective

And this will certainly help, I hope

Just saying, okay?

You have been generous enough.

Thank you.

  1. There were quite a few people in the streets on Saturday. It didn't effect traffic as bad as I thought it might though.

  2. That just gives the lie to the authorities' convenient claim that demonstrations would lead to traffic chaos. If in the past there were some traffic problem, the police were largely to blame for locking down the city.

Kluang was a sleepy hollow, but is fast becoming a bustling town. You can't miss the bust-shaped gunung Lambak lording over the place and the town is well known for its tv brand coffee powder

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
