While the rest of the world were trying to send a strong message to the Assad regime, Russia and China have once again vetoed a UN resolution to condemn the regime for the continued carnage against their own citizens.
Well, what can we expect of R&C? They have always liked to do things their own way. They don't like to been seen as being dictated to for the think that they are taikos in their own right.
Of course, they are taikos in their own right, but that is beside the point. They probably see their geo-political and economic interests as more important than that of the lives of the Syrian people themselves.
In effect Russia and China are saying that it is alright to attack your own citizens, however else they may try to justify their opposition to the latest UN resolution to condemn the Assad regime.
By saying that you are against a resolution to give a strong message to the Assad regime, you are in effect telling the Assad regime that it is alright to continue what they have been dong for a year and a half already i.e attack and kill their own citizens.
But this time Russia and China may live to regret their intransigence. However you looked at it, the Assad regime has long completely lost any legitimacy to stay on in power and will collapse. There are no two ways about it.
We have seen how one dictatorial and tyrannical regime after another collapse in the past couple of years and what makes you think this one won't?

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
