The GOM Or Are Malaysians To Blame?

The government of Malaysia (the GOM) is an intolerant lot. It does not take kindly to criticism.

For example, it has decided to go for the setting up of an alternate bar to represent Malaysian lawyers following the Bar Council's report on the recent Bersih 3.0 rally in which the Council noted the unjustified and excessive use of force by the authorities and also called on the GOM to apologise to and compensate those affected.

The GOM also thinks that it is Umno and forgets that it is actually the servant of the people. It does as it wishes with nary a care for the rakyat, or so some say.

It predicates whatever it does in the name of the rakyat and says that whatever it does, it does for the rakyat's benefit and welfare when all it is, as some say, is to ensure that Umno's gravy train rolls on for the benefit of a privileged coterie.

But what to do? We Malaysians continue (for more than half a century now) to vote Umno (notice that I don't even want to bother mentioning the other component parties forming the Barisan like MCA and MIC for these are really mosquito partners, and irritating ones at that, of Barsian which helms the GOM)

So, who is to blame - the GOM or Malaysians?

They say you deserve the government you vote in.

Kluang was a sleepy hollow, but is fast becoming a bustling town. You can't miss the bust-shaped gunung Lambak lording over the place and the town is well known for its tv brand coffee powder

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
