It seems that former Pm Mahatir has finally admitted that Umno, which he had helmed as their president for 22 years, does not have smart Malays!
In his speech at the Global Culture Symposium in Malacca, he was quoted by Bernama to have said:-
"For decades Umno has 'not allowed' the smart ones to join the party. That is why many doctors have joined Pas."
But Mahathir has to ask himself whether he was the one largely responsible for the situation since he was their leader for 22 years!
But I suspect that what he meant by smart Malays is smart in the sense that he thinks he is smart.
Well, do Malaysians want to have another smart Mahathir?

The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family.
