In a few hours, Sarawakians will go to the polling stations to vote in the 10th Sarawak state election.
Excitement is in the air as many expect a stunning election outcome this time. But today I am unable to access Free Malaysia Today website. Up till yesterday, I was able to do so. Has the site been attacked?
I won't be surprised if the site has been under attack. The stakes are high, and some people, especially the long-term Chief Minister Taib Mahmud and even Najib's future as the Prime Minister of Malaysia may well hinge on the election results.
Sarawak has long been considered the ruling Barisan's fixed deposit. The Mother Of All State Elections Is On
But this time around, the anger against Taib Mahmud for his alleged rape of Sarawak in his 30 years tenure as the Chief Minister and the still unresolved Malay language bibles issue may just see the ruling Barisan lose.
Reports have it the turnouts for opposition Pakatan's ceramahs or rallies far out-number those of Barisan's. But will the numbers translate into votes?
The opposition are confident that this time around the tide may turn in their favour. What they are unsure of is what tricks Barisan may resort to to ensure that they remain in power.
Whatever it is, Sarawakians now have the power in their hands to do something for themselves and to determine the direction they want their state and future to go.

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
