Najib, Sorcery, Kangkung And Chicken

The news of the Mas flight to Beijing that went missing is understandably hogging the headlines.

Out of respect to those on the unfortunate flight and their relatives, I am not going to say anything here when nothing is yet confirmed and while the Malaysian authorities are still as blur as the sotong on what might have happened.

Most of us already have our own versions of what might have happened, anyway.

Bolehlanders have long suspected that Pm Najib is a shaman of sorts when it comes to sourcing for cheap food.

After chiding Malaysians for complaining about the rising costs of living and reminding the ungrateful complainants that not all things cost more, like the kangkung, this master domestic sorcerer has now found a whole chicken for just one Ringgit!

That, by any count, is impressive!

If only ungrateful Bolehlanders would just cease the grumbling and start looking around, they will be able to survive on just 5 Ringgit a day for a family of five!

Unfortunately, only the 1000 early-bird households might benefit. Any that too, only on those gimmicky promotional days.

Still, we should just be grateful, shouldn't we?

After all, if the Pm who otherwise lives luxuriously at Putrajaya can be so ingenious and frugal, why should the rest of the complaining hoi polloi be different?

Rising costs of living are just a perception like the rising crime rate, as they are fond of telling us about the latter.
