Shameme Needs Help

Update: June 25 2012. A check back with the comments section of Speaking Of China shows that there are those who are doubtful whether the Shameme appeal for help is genuine or not. Of course, caution is always advised. But I do hope the appeal is genuine. Nobody wants to be taken for a ride, especially when it concerns helping someone in need.

I am a regular reader of the Speaking Of China blog where the author, who is married to a Chinese man, writes about love, family and relationships in China (洋媳妇看中国).

Shameme Adams Pic From Speaking Of China

Normally she writes on those topics. But her latest post talks about a 'half Asian, half-white English girl' who suffers from scoliosis that has caused her spine to 'curve and twist' and needs help for her surgery.

According to the blog author, Shameme Adams is

is a half-Asian, half-white English girl who loves silk brocade, has a puppet named Clifford, dreams of travelling to China someday, and desperately needs an operation that could save her life....She explained to me that, if left untreated, scoliosis causes serious problems such as heart issues and chest infections. She's had chest infections so terrible that once she didn't know if she had the will to make it through. But she has and still continues to fight

Kluang was a sleepy hollow, but is fast becoming a bustling town. You can't miss the bust-shaped gunung Lambak lording over the place and the town is well known for its tv brand coffee powder

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
