It is not true that doctors are smart by dint of being doctors.
It is all about rote learning
What test or tests to conduct, what treatment or treatments to pursue or what medicine or medicines to dispense.
They have been taught what to do or what not to do.
Few doctors think, or are able or willing to think outside the box of what they have been taught in the medical schools.
For example during the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was all about what they had been told or instructed to do.
Vaccines, hospitaisation, remdesivir, oxygen ventilation...
Remdesivir was initially thought to be the magic wand to treat covid infection and widely pushed.
If I am not mistaken though, it was found to be more a problem than help and eventually not pursued.
Vaccines, especially the experimental mRNA vaccines, have adverse side effects that have left people still suffering from the adverse effects.
Few doctors thought, or dared to, think outside the box.
There is a safe and cheap but effective medication, the humble anti-viral drug - ivermectin - that conscientious and independent doctors and medical practitioners at IMA (formerly FLCCC, Front Line Covid Critical Care) found worked in treating Covid-19 patients and saving lives.
Few doctors here or anywhere around the globe dared look or think outside of the box, preferring to follow what they have been told to do.
Check out the IMA website to learn more.
It is true, though, doctors must not only be smart but also kind.
