The Pm should come up with a more credible excuse than security concern for failing to turn up for the Nothing2Hide Dialogue with NGOs.
No self respecting Bolehlander would believe security concern as the reason, the IGP notwithstanding.
After all, Bolehlanders are not known for being a violent people, especially not towards their leaders. What more when it concerned a sitting Pm and a former long serving one whom even the brave
Bugis warrior himself used to hold in high esteem and was much in awe with for a long time.
By failing to turn up, Najib has lost a golden opportunity to put the 1MDB bugbear to rest once and for all.
Unless, of course, he really didn't have the answers and was hoping that he wouldn't have to answer Mahathir.
By failing to turn up, the Pm has also betrayed his acclaimed Bugis warrior ancestry. Why would a brave Bugis warrior fear showing up to face a 90 year old one-time mentor?
But by chickening out at the last moment, the Pm has given the lie to his claim that he would stand up to fight like a Bugis warrior and not cave in to calls for him to step down as the Pm.
After all, it was supposed to be a harmless nothing to hide dialogue. If there was nothing to hide, Najib should just show up to face Mahathir like a man, or like a brave Bugis warrior if you like.
If there was nothing to hide, why was there even a need to stop Mahathir from continuing with his speech?
As much as Bolehlanders want to give Ah Jib the benefit of the doubt, it is really hard to believe security concern as the reason he failed to turn up for the dialogue.
After all, aren't the police up to their task?
Bolehland is supposed to have one of the most efficient and capable police force in the world, one that we are all supposed to be rightly proud of.

The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me.
