The Discovery Of A 1,200-Year-Old Buddha Statute At Bukit Choras, Part Of The Bujang Valley In Kedah

The discovery of a 1,200-year-old Buddha statute at  Bukit Choras, part of the Bujang Valley in Kedah state, is an important archaeological find.

Had the discovery being viralled when it was discovered?

I myself had no idea of the discovery until today when the youtube video was recommended.

History is history.

I hope there is no attempt to bury the find or shrug it off as of no importance or significance just because it does not match what we think was the start of what is considered modern Malaya with the Malacca Sultanate in the 15th century that led to the growth of Islam, Malay language and culture.

In fact, the Bujang Valley was southeast Asia's oldest civilisation.

It was a flourishing Hindu-Buddhist center considered an international trading hub long before the Malacca Sultanate was founded in the 15th century.
