Will Malaysia Become A Chop Suey Country?

If Pas has it's way, Bolehland may soon become a chop suey country.

Things could go chop, chop, chop!

Not the dish, but limbs.

And you could be lapidated - stoned to death lah!

Hudud is actually not Koranic, more Judaic than Koranic really.

The Jews once practised the so-called Law of Moses mandated under the Torah - the first five books of the old Testament - under which an adulteress could be stoned to death and limbs chopped off for certain "transgressions"

Hudud is actually not enjoined by the Koran, only prescribed by the Hadith.

But it must be remembered that the Hadith was completed some 200 years AFTER the passing of the Messenger (pbuh), by people who could not themselves vouchsafe for what was said to be the traditions and sayings of Nabi Muhammad.

And it must be borne in mind that the Koran was declared as COMPLETE and that NO ONE was to add to or subtract from it on pain of the divine's wrath.

Apparently, therefore, that included the Prophet himself (pbuh)?

Shouldn't the Muslims not focus on what is contained within the parameters of the Koran and leave judgement to the divine?

Instead, Indeed, shouldn't the Muslims not fulfill their covenant with God by keeping to the deen, the way of life as revealed to them by doing good, honouring and showing respect to their parents, taking care of the anak yatim (orphans), the poor and the weak and dealing honestly in their everyday transactions with others and the world?

Keeping the peace, for after all, isn't that what the word "Muslim" means - one at peace with the divine and the world?

To those unthinking fanatics who would take me to task for giving my two cents and telling non-Muslims to just shut up, could you cite the Koran that we can't even have an honest opinion?
