Trump Paranoia - Is It Justified?

There is this fear and paranoia about Trump presidency.

Being called xenophobic, racist, misogynistic, homophobic and a host of other descriptions by those who feel uncomfortable with him, Donald Trump must be a new-age monster.

But really, is Trump the end of the world?

What is so bad about wanting to bash the hell out of the religious terrorists and others of similar ilk?

What is so bad about wanting to control immigration? Every sovereign nation has its own policy on who they will allow or not allow into the country.

What is so bad about trying to keep drugs and criminals out from the country by making it more difficult for them to cross the border with a wall? May be a wall is little silly, though.

What about being disrespectful of women and sexual assault? You have laws on these, don't you? Past American presidents had been impeached, or threatened impeachment, for much less - like for wire-tapping their political opponents' HQ to eavesdrop and stay a step ahead. Unless you are saying that grabbing women's privates is less of a no-no than bugging your political opponents' office.

Everyone knows that politicians make all kinds of threats and promises more for their sound bites to fish for votes than that they really believe that they will be willing or able to do what they promise to do.

And though the American president is a powerful man, his powers are not absolute. There is the House of representatives and the Senate. Do you think that they will blindly go along with whatever the president wants to do when the majority of the people are against the president's wish?

Members of the Congress want to be re-elected and stay in power for all that that means and all the perks of office.

At the end of the day, Trump will just be another president, constrained in many ways and unable to do more than what the people want.

On the terrorists though, Trump better deliver or he will be a single-termer.

Kluang was a sleepy hollow, but is fast becoming a bustling town. You can't miss the bust-shaped gunung Lambak lording over the place and the town is well known for its tv brand coffee powder

Kluang RailCoffee
The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
