Tell PM Najib He Can Sleep Soundly

My prediction is that Barisan, and especially Umno, will sweep every seat they contest in the GE13, so Najib can sleep soundly now.

The Star 16 Sept 2012

There is no need to engage with every voter to feel comfortable before calling for the general election, because to touch base with every Malaysian voter is an impossibility. So, stop the bullocks, Najib!

Just dissolve Parliament now and set the ground for GE13. We Malaysians are fed up with your flip-flopping on many issues, including calling for GE13.

Najib has also been busy trying to scare the Malays into believing that without Umno and with an ascendant DAP, the Malays will be finished without Umno around.

This is obviously another so bullocks thing that I believe our Malay brethren can see through the claim.

Prominent blogger SakmongkolAK47 has written extensively and so eloquently on this nonsense claim of Umno's that I do not wish to add to what he has so well articulated. Here is one of the many other posts he has written on the Umno myth.

Let me just repeat some of what Sakmongkol has written.

Without Umno, the Malays will still constitute some 60% of the Malaysian population i.e the majority population.

DAP, even if they win all the Parliamentary seats that they will contest, which won't be more than 50 or 60, still can't form the government on their own. PKR and Pas will still be part of the coalition and both are still largely Malay based parties.

Without Umno, the machinery of government and institutions of state will still be there.

The Malaysian Constitution will still be there, Parliament will still be there, the institution of monarchy will still be there, the civil service will still be there, the courts will still be there, the armed forces will still be there, the police will still be there; the economic and business structures won't simply collapse and so on.

What will change is the leadership and direction of the government, which can't be worse than the Umno led Barisan government.

And to give the ultimate lie to the Umno myth, just look at the states under the opposition control.

Look at Kelantan which has been under the Pas government for 20 years already. Are the Malays there finished? Is the sultan not still the head of the state there?

What about Penang? It is headed by DAP's Lim Guan Eng as the Chief Minister. Are the Malays there finished? In fact, the Penang Malays are happy with him. Under Lim Guan Eng, the Malay contractors beg the major portion of state government contracts.

Under Lim Guan Eng, too, the allocations to the mosques have increased many fold compared to the allocations given out under 23 years of the previous Barisan state government.

Then how about Selangor under PKR's Khalid Ibrahim's leadership? Are the Malays there finished also? In fact, under Khalid's leadership, the state is prosperous and everyone is happy. And the sultan of Selangor is still the sultan of Selangor.

So, Najib, stop the nonsense and call for the election now!

And sleep easy.

  1. Quote: “I would like to stress here that I have never interfered in MACC’s operations. They are independent and free to carry out their investigations on anyone.” “You help me I help you.” Then likely to Musa, Taib, MACC, Shahzirat, Baginda: We saw nothing heard nothing.” Perhaps to the Dynamite blasters: “Finish her off & shut her up”. “ Promised fulfilled.” Are these the thoughts and words of an honourable, ethical leader with the country’s interest at heart or someone bent on sabotaging opposition, human rights NGOs, on deceit, gangsterism & crimes?
Answer it yourself. I speak from NZ, rated one of the world’s top for human rights, transparency, and democracy. If we has a National oil company we won’t have one race occupying 99% of the jobs. Everyone is equal in the eyes of God Mahathir! I pity Malaysia, one can write a book on its losses and tragedies. When will you the Rakyat wake up and vote BN out?

  2. I speak from NZ, Najib, you know how uncorrupted & democratic we are. In the eyes of the world, you are shameless & ‘finished’ before your GE13. You still continue to talk rubbish. Has ‘bersih’ Penang not improved? Have people in NZ, Aus, UK, USA Canada, not gained trillions from the lack of corruption? Have you not seen the social amenities, services, excellent roads and schools in these countries? Your gratitude to those who elected BN is: Murders, manipulation, deceit, gerrymandering, controlling media and freedom, brutality, promoting racism, feeding cronies, fabricating stories and prosecution to stifle Opposition, massive purchases & projects with mulit-million kickbacks. Plundering and mismanaged losses estimated to surpass US$100billion. 55 years is far too long. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It’s time also to bring You, Dr MM and all cronies to justice.

  3. Alan Newman, many Malaysians are feeling similar strong sentiments toward Barisan nowadays and hoping to vote in change for the better.

Kluang was a sleepy hollow, but is fast becoming a bustling town. You can't miss the bust-shaped gunung Lambak lording over the place and the town is well known for its tv brand coffee powder

The Kluang railway station coffee shop, now re-branded Kluang RailCoffee, is well known for its cuppa of coffee and the charcaol grilled piping hot buns oozing with butter and kaya...It used to attract standing-room only crowds. It still does, but the last time I was there it wasn't a good experience for me. The famous coffee had somewhat lost its oomph and even the buns...The shop has a long and noted history being first opened for business in 1938 and the place is now run by the 3rd generation LIm family. I hope the next time I return, the coffee would regain its oomph. Click to read more...
